Brown Thayer Shedd Earns $50,000 for Bowery Mission Women’s Center In 8th Annual Chubb Charity Challenge
Las Vegas, November 21, 2007 – Brown Thayer Shedd beat 44 teams to claim the Eighth Annual Chubb Charity Challenge Championship and a $50,000 donation
to the charity of its choice. The Darien, CT, insurance agency’s winnings will go to the Bowery Mission Women’s Center, which
offers homeless women in New York City the opportunity to achieve spiritual grounding, economic empowerment and emotional
healing.
On November 5 and 6, winners of the 45 Chubb Charity Challenge regional golf tournaments in major cities across the United
States and Canada competed for a charity purse of more than $560,000 at The Falls and Reflection Bay golf courses in Las Vegas.
Through the charitable efforts of more than 1,600 agents and customers, Chubb was able to raise more than $1 million for charity
during its 2007 tournaments.

Since 2000, the Chubb Charity Challenge has raised more than $6 million for charities throughout the United States and Canada.
In its first year, the tournament raised $350,000. For the last three years, the tournament has raised more than $1 million
each year.
