Chubb Introduces First-Of-Its-Kind Commercial Paper-Free Solution to Agents

WARREN, NJ, September 17, 2009 - The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has introduced a first-of-its-kind paper-free solution that revolutionizes the way agents access electronic versions of their commercial customers' policies and related documents.  Chubb Commercial PaperFree is available to all U.S. agents using the Applied Systems and Vertafore agency management systems.

"Chubb Commercial PaperFree helps agents get the job done more efficiently by giving them electronic access to their commercial customers' policy documents 24/7 within their own agency management system. There's no more logging onto a website or requesting a paper reprint," said Dawna Yont, assistant vice president and branch services manager for Chubb.  "This new program helps agents save time, keep a lid on expenses, and reduce both Chubb's and the agency's carbon footprint."

Previously, agents received a paper copy of these documents through the mail or accessed a copy via Chubb's website; documents were then scanned into the agency's management system.  Chubb Commercial PaperFree lets agents access electronic versions of their clients' policy documents, including new lines, renewals, rewrites, endorsements, audits, cancellations and more, without having to log onto the Chubb website.  Agents using the Applied Systems or Vertafore agency management systems may choose to receive an electronic notice that the policy documents have been generated with or without a PDF of the policy documents.  Some 90 percent of U.S. agents use either the Applied Systems or Vertafore agency management systems.

Doug Johnston, vice president, partner relations and product innovation, Applied Systems, said, "Our initiative with Chubb will automatically update activities and images, placing valuable information directly into an agency's workflow-saving users time and reducing agency costs."

Dave Acker, vice president, connectivity product management, Vertafore, said, "Today's competitive business landscape demands speed to market and cost efficiency to succeed.  Together, with Chubb, we are delivering innovative business solutions that allow our users seamless, electronic access to commercial account related information around the clock."

The member insurers of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies form a multi-billion dollar organization providing property and casualty insurance for personal and commercial customers worldwide through 8,500 independent agents and brokers. Chubb's global network includes branches and affiliates throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia.
