The Chubb financial groups are renowned for the caliber of their people. Employees in the financial groups possess exceptional
mathematical abilities, a high level of academic achievement and a penchant for challenging assignments. For business graduates
with majors in accounting, information systems, finance or other related fields, we offer opportunities in our Accounting,
Actuarial, Internal Audit, Tax and Treasurer's Departments. Our comprehensive training program supports your desire to excel
within this career path.
As a member of Chubb's Actuarial team, you will help evaluate business opportunities in a given market by collecting data
to identify the potential profitability and possible pitfalls. Typically the team will base its analysis on the demand the
business may create, the price required to deliver a reasonable rate of return, and the potential effect of claims on the
company's profitability. Armed with this data, our actuaries advise top management on ways to balance the anticipated with
the unexpected. As your actuarial career progresses at Chubb, you will also work on projects that include extensive statistical
analysis, pricing, loss reserving, research, planning and forecasting risk analysis. Chubb's actuaries interact with people
at all levels within the company. Therefore, they must be adept communicators who are able to present solutions clearly and
concisely to those not versed in actuarial science, including underwriters, information technology staff, accountants, claim
and loss experts, and senior management.
